Introducing the new and improved Briefbox

Since setting up Briefbox nearly two years ago and seeing just how much the design community has enjoyed the site, we felt it was time to up our game and improve the hell out of it, to help aspiring designers even more! We’ve been working days and nights and have brought in extra help from copyrighters and project managers in the design industry to significantly improve, not only the briefs themselves, but the whole experience of the Briefbox site. Here is an overview of the updates we have made…

1) Updated UI and design

Briefbox new UI

We’ve given the whole website a complete UI and design overhaul — briefs are displayed in card format with all the brief’s main stats in view, and the ability to save to your briefs direct from the category pages. The main briefs page also now has a much better search and filter functionality to quickly explore all your favourite briefs.

2) Introducing Pro accounts with full length detailed briefs and career guidance

The most significant update we have made to the Briefbox site — our team of designers, copywriters and project managers have been busy writing much, much more content to introduce new-and-improved full length professional briefs, alongside the existing quick, fun brief library. For designers looking to practice briefs that simulate working in a real design agency, whilst building up their portfolio at the same time, these pro briefs are everything you need. Our pro account subscription gives access to all of the full length briefs, plus pro tips. Try some pro briefs for free over here

3) Upgraded user profiles and notifications

Briefbox User profiles

We’re focused on making the new site feel more like a proper community — so user profiles have had a complete overhaul, featuring all stats about the user and their activity in the profile header. With in-site notifications, you can now quickly find out who’s liked your submissions, left comments or if any of your submissions have been featured in the Briefbox gallery!

4) Featured Submissions and attachments

Briefbox submissions

With so much great artwork being added by our users, we’ve now added a featured badge which we will be giving to the strongest user submissons. Save your favourite briefs and submit your artwork to see if your submissions make it into the gallery! We’ve also added the ability to add attachments to your submissions to show accompanying designs, in a larger format.

5) Competitions

Briefbox competions

Everyone likes a bit of competition, so what better way to improve your design skills than battling it out against the community with our fun, fortnightly design competitions. All your entires will show up on your profile and winners get a badge on their submissions, and their artwork listed in the previous winners section, for more exposure! Check out the latest competition over here!

6) Browse all designers

Briefbox Designers

Once you sign up to the Briefbox site, your profile will automatically be added to our designer directory to help other designers and potential employers quickly search the community and find designers to work with. The search and filter system makes it easy to find the most active and hard working designers on the site.

We really hope you guys enjoy the improvements, Let us know your thoughts, and how your enjoying the new site!
