This is a UI design for the city/location guide app "Mi-Guide" (which I really enjoyed working on!). In my take of it, after selecting a city guide on the landing page the user will be able to locate different POIs on the map of that city for different categories. Users can then find out more about a given place (description, reviews, opening times, etc.), can choose to be directed there, or can save it down in their itinerary. Based on a users selections the app might suggest similar places that may be of interest. Another feature (as expected from such an app) would be details of the city itself including helpful travellers tips and weather forecasts. The profile page can highlight where a user has visited and feature their favourite spots. I had worked on a social messaging/friend aspect to the app, but figured it probably wouldn't be used in place of normal texting/messaging apps so left it out. Design wise I've gone with an overall dark theme for the map and menus, using bright "pages" when showing key information to break it up a bit. I've used colours to distinguish the different categories, and gone with some simple iconography for the menu items and the logo of the app itself.
